  2. The people got three meals long ago. Breakfast in the morning, dinner at twelve and supper at night. The people used to work in the morning before breakfast. They used to eat porridge for the breakfast, potatoes for the dinner and supper. Buttermilk and skim milk were drank at every meal.
    If the family had not room to sit by the wall the table would be pulled out in the middle of the floor. The tables sometimes were on hinges and they used to be hinges and they used to be hung up at certain times.
    Oaten meal bread and wheaten bread were eaten. They were made on a griddle. Meat was used once a week on Sunday. American
