  1. Saturday is considered unlucky to change cattle into a fresh field of grazing. An old sick cow said on the last day of March, "A fig for you March, I'll live you out for now you are over."
    So March borrowed three days of April and killed the old cow. If we happen to put our stockings inside out and the other right side out, without knowing we are supposed to have good luck that day.
