    Anybody who is sick and gets up on Saturday will be back in bed again before Monday.
    If it rains on Saint Swithen's day it will rain for forty days.
    People say Saturdays flit is a short sit.
    Some people put May flowers on their door steps on the last day of April to keep fairies away.
    Some people will not give any milk away on the first day of May because they think it is unlucky.
