- In Mr Healy's field which is situated on the left hand side of the road below the Kiltown cross there is a holy well. St Philip visited it and people went there on the 14th of September but they do not go there now
- We have an oak Chest and in 1798 it held oatmeal for the Catholics on the run. It was kept in a cave in Bawngarra and the people made porrage out of the meal. It is very big and there is not a nail in it except in the hinges. It is all oak.
