    Before the have time to come up, the drills are harrowed with saddle harrows. In a few days after wards they are grubbed and mould.
    In a fortnight after they are wed with hoes. They are grubbed and moulded again.
    When they are about a foot above the clay, they are sprayed with blue stone and lime to prevent the blight, when the first spraying is washed off, they are sprayed again (ad) and left to grow completely.
