    and had a a hurricane lamp with him in the pig house. He left it there and went into the dwelling house for something. While he was absent the lamp overturned and the place went on fire. The thatched roof caught fire from the sparks and before the neighbours could be summoned the fire had gained strength and the house was burned to the ground. Nothing was saved. A fine two. Storey slated house was built on the stand of the old one.
