When an animal is sold it is marked with red pencil or by putting a bit of mud on it. The halter is given to the man that buys the animal. - The buyers used to buy at cross-roads and in the country and in the fields. They do not buy in those places now. There used to be fairs in Rockcorry and in Newbliss.
