When lying down people should say:
"As I lie down to take a sleep,
I give my soul to God, to keep,
If any evil spirits come to me,
    Oh, Good Jesus waken me".
"That God may never call anyone of us away in a deplorable state of mortal sin or by the message of sudden death. That He may give us true knowledge of our sins and grace to confess them, the grace of a happy death and a favourable judgement".
    When dreaming in the morning,
Oh my God clothe my soul with the nuptial robe of charity, that I may wear it pure and undefiled before Thy judgement seat.
    When retiring to rest
As I go to my bed, I go to my grave
I beg of my Lord Jesus my soul to save
    Waken now or waken never
I give my soul to God forever.
As I take off my clothes.
I pray that God may loose the sins from me
