    Chuaidh Cearbhall Ó Dálaigh, sagart agus bacach isteach i dtig tábhairne lá agus d’óladar deoc le fear-a-tighe. Bhí deich sgillinge le ndíol acu tar-éis an óil agus bhí aighneas eatortha feuchaint cé acu ba ‘mhó a ndíolfadh as.
    Tar-éis dóibh bheith ag cainnt is ag cnáimhseáil, is ag cadaráil ní fhéadfaidís an cheist a réidhteach. Bhí aithne acu ar Chearbhaill agus bhí fhios acu go raibh féith na filidheachta ann agus dubharadar go gcaithfeadh Cearbhall an cheist do réidhteach.
    Seo é an socruú a dhein Cearbhaill:-
