There was great joy at this escape and Oisin made a poem in praise of Goll who had saved them. - Fionn Mac Cumhaill having insulted the High King was put in prison. Caoilte mac Morna one of Fionn's followers wishing to set his leader free asked the High King what he would have to do to set Fionn free. The High King told Caoilte he would never be able to do what was necessary, because he would have to gather a pair of each kind of wild animals in Ireland, but the high King forgot Caoilte's fleetness of foot.
