  1. A family of Connolly's (nicknamed the puffers) live about one mile from Carrigallen.
About six years ago one of them Michael was coming from Carrigallen about eleven oclock in the night on the road from the chapel to the [piers?] he suddenly met a crowd of cars and pedestrians. He said to himself it is a very late hour for a funeral. They walked on past him and then seemed to turn up a lane called "The Tupper's[?] lane". He took a flash lamp to trace them up the lane and as he looked where he was standing he saw a lot of little men about the height of his knee with long beards touching the ground.
