In those days going to America was to walk from Kiltyclogher to Derry. They used to bring food for the journey with them i.e. Several bannocks of oaten bread - The animals which are reared on farms are cows, horses, calves, sheep and goats. Most of the cows have names. They are often named after the person from whom they were bought or from their size or colour.
