  2. The animals which are reared on farms are cows, horses, calves, sheep and goats. Most of the cows have names. They are often named after the person from whom they were bought or from their size or colour.
    The chief expressions used when driving cows or calves are "hup" or "go on out of that." A cowhouse or a byn as it is called is a room about eleven feet wide and twenty four long. Cows are tied by the neck with a
