Sir Roger Palmer and Wilsons Hospital were fair landlords and the people had no grievance against them.
The Hamiltons especially their agent Harry Hamilton was bad landlords, and evicted many people from their farms, and levelled their houses, and in this way they added to the size of Hampton demesne. Harry Hamilton was also agent for another landlord the name of Johnson of Armagh.
The names of some of the people that were evicted by Harry Hamiltons were the Connors, Bissetts, Divines, Mooneys, Mathews.
