2. Care of Sheep

   The sheep stay out in the fields night and day in summer and in winter also, except when there is a storm and they are brought in to the sheep shed. The sheep get corn and hay and turnips in winter. The corn is put in troughs and the hay is put in hay-racks and the turnips are scattered about the field. The hay-rack is made of wood and there are spaces between the boards and the hay is put inside the hay-rack and the sheep puts its head inside the spaces and eats the hay. Some times when a sheep has one or two lambs, and if she dies we feed them with milk. First we put the milk in a bottle and put a rubber teat on the bottle and then put the teat in the lambs mouth and then the lamb sucks the milk.
