    It is said that if a man misses a ridge when setting potatoes there is some one to die in that house before a year. This happened one year in a house of Andy Meehan's, Tullynagrena. When he was setting potatoes, he missed a ridge in the middle of the field and before a year his sister died.
    Another saying is that if a hen crows at a house, that hen should be killed
