Next morning Crohar went away again and the boy got a hatchet and cut down the tree and there jumped a duck out of it and the duck layed an egg. Then the boy ran and caught the egg. At that moment Crohar Fáirne came roaring like a mad bull down from the hill. The boy fired the egg and it went down Crothar's throat and he fell dead on the ground. Then the boy went back to the castle and married the girl and lived happily with plenty of gold and silver.(no title)
