There is a field about one hundred yards from Ballyshannon and it is said that there is a pot of gold hidden in the field. It is said that the lives of three animals have to be taken in order to get this pot of Gold. It is marked with a large stone which covers the gold and it is on this stone that the lives of the three animals have to be taken. It was attempted many times by men who never took the three animals but they failed.
