    This is the season for the sowing of potatoes. The potatoes are always sown in drills.Timber ploughs were very common in the district long ago but not now. The spades were made by a smith whose name was Patrick Brady .The people always spray the potatoes once or twice as they say it is very good to prevent the blight .There are various kinds of potatoes ,The Irish Queens,the Scotish Farmers, the kerrrpinks
