    There was once a man living in Ballindereen who had a public house...

    give good weights and measures until I call here again. So the man gave good weights and measures until the priest came. So the dog was getting thinner day by day. When the priest was comming the dog ran up stairs. The priest asked where was the dog. The man said he did not know but that the dog had made a habbit of going up stairs. The priest went up stairs and he called the dog three times and the third time the dog went out through the wall in flames of fire. And it is said that the dog is in the cross roads of Ballinadereen yet.
