    When a person died some years ago his corpse was not taken to the church as it is at present, but "waked" in the house for two nights and then conveyed to the grave on a common cart. Three women sat on the coffin and "caoined" for the corpse. The two nights of the wake were as good as the night of a party for some of the young boys of the neighbourhood who used
