Another industry in this parish of long ago was brick -making.
In this locality there were three brick-holes
The one which was mostly used was near Lansdowne bridge, about two miles from Limerick, on the side of the main Limerick-Ennis road.
It was owned by a man named Mr Mack.
First of all the brick was cut and thrown up on the on the side.
After that a heap is made of the bricks in the shape of a house. Then a big fire is put under the bricks and left lighting for a week.
Then they are taken into limerick with cars.
None of those industries are carried on nowadays.
