  1. In the parish of long ago there were a couple of Industries carried on, such as Brick-making,and the Bark-yards.
    There were at least three Bark-yards in the locality.
    (1) One is in the “Garrynoe”, in the front of John Setrites house of Squires well.
    (2) The second one is in the big wood at the back of James Kenningtons house of Cratloe woods.
    (3] the third one and more important Bark-yard is almost in the middle of the big wood at the back of John Setrites house.
    The meaning of this word Bark-yard meant in olden days, in the time of old Captain O Brien.
