She used to buy eggs for the customers and put them into a basket and put the basket on her back and walk to Limerick and bring back groceries. She was carrying on a great trade until one evening thunder and lightening came. Biddy and husband were eating their supper in the square wooden box where she used to keep all her money. The lightening struck Biddy in the arm and the money that was inside in the box was put out on the road. She never recovered from the shock and soon after they found her dead in the little house. The people around the district were very grieved after Biddy as it was very handy to get the shop-goods so near home.
