  1. Empty vessels make the most sound
Your eye is bigger than your stomach.
An empty sack will not stand.
An empty cart makes the most noise.
You cannot expect an old head on young shoulders.
A closed mouth will not catch flies.
    Dead men tell no tales.
A shoe makers wife is always barefooted.
A burned child dreads the fire.
An old dog for the hard road.
Help a lame dog over the stile.
If you give me nothing don't tear the bottom out of my bag.
A rolling stone gathers no moss.
You can bring a horse to the water but you cannot make him drink.
You will never miss the water until the well runs dry.
A shut hand will not catch a bird.
Two heads are better than one.
It is a long land that has no turning.
    Wilful waste make waful want.
    Spill salt for sorrow
A stitch in time save nine
Its an ill wind that blows nobody good
