  1. Bread baked on Good Friday will keep one or two years perfectly good and bread although not baked on Good Friday if put on the same shelf with it would keep equally as well.
    I heard a house keeper to say that she baked bread on Good Friday and kept it on the same shelf with other bread all the year round and it prevented the other bread placed with it on the shelf going ropy (?) although baked at another period of the year.
