    So now to finish and to end my poem
    It was nearly daylight when they arrived at home
    For when Anthony he fainted John got him in a sack
    And took him home unto "the Ring" so Im told, on his back

    The preparation for the bride was good upon my oath
    For Finnegan he had skinned and boiled
    His darling fine "buck" goat
    Then John he took the meggan and he stuck it on his chin
    And he swore the next place he would surely win.
    A man from a neighbouring townland made the above song on Finnegan from Rathrusson. "Sweet Lips" was a girl called Liza Dowd who lived near Finnegans. They
