  1. In the townland of Tievenanass in a farm now belonging to Mr Francis Reilly it is said that Mass was often celebrated. The place where the Holy Sacrifice was offered on the top of a cliff over-looking Lough-na-lane in the townland of Bendoo so that the congregation could have a good view of any of their hunters. There is a stone to be seen in this farm though the exact spot is unknown which bears an image of the crucifix carved in it. It is believed to be now covered with grass and moss. There are many small paths
