    used to happen. The man told his neighbours about it. That night they watched the cart. About three o'clock in the night the saw a lepreachan walking up the street. When the lepreachan saw them he ran away and from that night out the man never got a half crown in the cart.

  2. The lepreachan is known locally as the geanncanach. He works under a mushroom. He wears a red cap which is supposed to be a flower off the foxglove.
