    For the whooping-cough take the patient and put him under an ass's belly nine times.
    Garlic is good for a heavy cold. Boil Garlic with butter till boiled soft. Then the patient drinks the juice and eats the garlic and in a day or two he will be all right again.
    The cure my mother heard best for "neuralgia" is to make a mustard plaster and put it in a rag and put it on the point of your left elbow for the space of five minutes or so, till it begins "to smarten" you. Then take it off.
