    gardens, warm it well before the fire on a fire-shovel or anything. Get a big bandage and put the chick-weed on it, and put it as a poultice on the swelling. In about an hour or two, take it off. If it is on any part of the leg, the patient was not supposed to walk much.
    The curing of a sore throat is very common. Get a spoon or two of blackcurrant jam, and pour boiling water on it, and stir till almost dissolved. The patient is recommended to take the drink as hot as possible, otherwise, it is of no use.
