  1. There are many holy wells around Donard.
    There is a holy well down in Tom Dwyer's bog. It is called the "holy-hill well" and there is a cure in it for sores or cuts. At the top of this well there is a thorn bush growing. People go to this well and drink out of it.
    There is another well up in the Glen. There is a cure in it for warts and many people have been cured out of it.
    Lackan Well is another beautiful well and people come from all parts of the country to drink out
