  1. Toothache: is cured by praying at Saint Manchans well and washing the decayed tooth with the water.
    Thrush: It is said that any person who never saw his father can cure this disease by blowing his breath into the mouth of the diseased persons three times. There is woman named Mrs Molloy in Pullock, in the parish of Ballinahown, County Offaly, who has the cure for thrush.
    Ringworm: is cured by placing a gold marriage ring on the sore. The seventh son of a family also can sure this disease. James Fleming, Ballycumber, Offaly who is the seventh son of his family has the cure for the ringworm. Pat Young, Ballyshale, Cloghan, also has the cure.
