  1. Many are the roads leading from Clara to the neigbouring towns. The road which leads from Clara to Tullamore - a distance of about seven miles is known as the Tullamore Road.
    There are a lot of by-roads leading from this. One goes right across the country and connects it with a road leading from Clara to Kilbeggan, about five miles distance.
    This road passes by the Monastery and Cemetery. These two raods are kept in great repair and are steam-rolled.
