    Friday is the lucky day for starting anything.
    Seeds and crops are put in on Friday at first spring sowing.
    Cattle are tied in for fattening on Friday.
    People move to new houses only on Friday.
    Saturday considered unlucky for starting anything.
    Some people will not take out ashes on Monday. Neither will they clean out the cow houses on Monday.
    Kitchens are to be swept "in" from the front door on New Year's day.
