    Red sun in the morning which is here called
    "Dublin Red" means a wet day.
    Red sunset means fine weather
    Copper sunset means broken weather.
    Rain with wind from and station means rain for the day.
    Crows flocking and cawing - storm.
    Gulls inland - rain.
    Sheep feeding early - wet day.
    Sheep lying chewing cud early in the morning - fine day.
    Cat sitting with back to fire - Broken weather.
    Dog eating grass - Rain coming.
    The following were got from Charles Daly,
    Alderboro, Geashill. Age 50 years. He got
    them from his father who died at age of 80 years.
