  1. One night about the close of the last century two men were coming home in a horse and car from Mylerspark about twelve o'clock. As they drew near the graveyard in Carnagh the horse stopped and would not go, the man that was driving got off the car and tried to get the horse to go again. Suddenly they heard a great rattling of chains and the man that was in the car saw a woman sitting up on the back of the car, and he called out to the other man and said "that there was a woman on the back of the car." And the other man called out in a loud voice saying "Begone to God or the Devil or whoever you belong to," She disappeared immediately and the car became unyoked and fell to the ground. So they yoked up again and got home after a long time, and the horse was covered with sweat and died after a few days
