    Ferns Abbey
The Abbey was founded in St. Aedan's time has a remarkable tower. Its total height is seventy five feet. The story told about the Abbey is :-
"A girl once climbed to the top and on the outside she tripped and fell down- her head hit the ground, and there is a circular patch about the size of a person's head where the grass never grew since."
Not far from the Abbey is a fret work cross (pattern) and is supposed to mark the grave of the famous Dermot Mac Murrogh.
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
