    water out of St. Aidan's well in Ferns for household purposes. One day a woman disobeyed and took some water from the blessed well for that purpose. Immediately her hands were stuck to the ground and she could not free herself. The priest left her for three days like this as a warning to others. Then he prayed and she was released.
    About six miles from Enniscorthy in a place called Oulard Ard stand the ruins of an Irish Chapel. When Oliver Cromwell came to Wexford he burned this Chapel to the ground.
    He captured the priest and took his residence and gave it to his general.
