    Historical Tradition
    About half way between Enniscorthy and Mile House is a bridge known as Bloody Bridge.
    During the '98 rebellion some insurgents marching from the town encountered a force of yoemen at this bridge. A fierce struggle ensued and many lives were lost on both sides and it is said that the blood can still be seen on the stones if thoroughly examined. Hence the name.
    About a mile or so on the Enniscorthy side of the Mile House is a bridge called Bloody Bridge. A priest passing along that way on a sick call was captured by the yoemen. Just as he was nearing
