On May Day it is a general Custom to have a May Bush. This is made by getting a bush and decorating it with ribbons and flowers and coloured papers. Then there are candles placed all around on it which are lit at night after dark. In some places they make they make people pay going in to see the May bush and they put toys on the May bush and give something to each one.
