were in common use in this district about 80 yrs ago.A Mrs Briget Thompson lived at Tinnaberna down the seashore about 2 miles from Kilmuckridge and I have it on very good authority (from her Nephew - a Mr Matthew OBrien of Tinnaberna) that his aunt old Biddy the Rush was an adept in the making of Rushlights + Resin snobs.To make Rushlights, Tallow + dry rushes were required.The Tallow was first melted in a special vessel called a "Grisset". This was shaped somewhat like a boat - about 10 to 12 ins long, and 4 or 5 ins in depth. It was always made(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
