There was a man one time, who lived in a house which was built on a "Fairies' Pass". One night as he was sitting at the fire and the two doors of the kitchen which were facing each other were open, he heard a strange noise outside. Then a crowd of fairies passed through the kitchen and the last four carried a coffin. The man said nothing and when he got up the next morning, he got a half sovereign on the table near the front door.
One day a woman went out to tie oats and she brought her youngest child with her. She left the child at a stook of oats and went herself to tie the oats. After a while she(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
