There were two half brothers and they used to go to school together. They had a well, and they had half of it each. They would wash their face at the well and cut their nails. They had a horse, hawk and hound each.
One morning they were going to school, and one of them said he would go to seek his fortune.
"If anything happens to me you will see my half of the well bloody, and let you go to look for me."
