  1. One night there were a crowd of men playing tricks in a house. One man suggested he would give five shillings to any man that would stick a spear in a grave in a grave-yard.
One man volunteered to go. It was a wet night, and he put on a long coat. When he was sticking the spear in the grave, he stuck it through the tail of his coat. When he was starting for home he felt something pulling the tail of his coat, and he thought it was a ghost.
When his friends came to look for him, they found him lying on the ground with the spear stuck through the tail of his coat. This man was insane for the rest of his life.
