Ar an leathanach seo
- The bannock cake was made like oaten meal bread only that there were eggs and "sounds" used in the mixing. Three handfuls of oaten meal, a pinch of salt, some tepid water, four eggs and fermented "sounds" were thrown into a "pigin" and stirred thoroughly until it became a thick paste.
Then a handful of flour and sugar was added to flavour it. It was mixed several hours before baked. It would get hard when it was left in the "pigin". After this it was turned out on griddle and left over a pan stand.
