  1. There was a landlord who owned the land in Aughnagore. But where the village of Clondra is now was called the Glebe which was owned by the parsons who lived where the school & residence is now. It was free from rent. The landlord lived in England altho he had the house where the Parish Priest lives now. He was very hard about the rent and put out several families and set a watchman to watch that the people would not come back to the houses.
