    faced the doors of their houses to the north and there was always a blast of wind on the door. They put up a "clicking" across the middle of the floor at night. This was made of three large boards nailed together and goat skins nailed on the inside of it. There used to be a row of nails over the fire to hold the griddle, the grid iron, the tamborine and the riddle.
