St Brigid took the veil from Bishop Macaille on the HIll of Usna. St Bride's church ruins to be seen in Killare Churchyard. St Bride's well a few hundred yards away.
Near Fay's wood, there is an "Eye" Well. The well sprang up in response to St. Brigid's prayer when thirsty, as she was on her way to Rahugh. Above the well in the solid rock, there is another smaller well the entrance to which is through an eye-shaped hole.
