are supposed to have build them all except Rann Dúin fort. The Danes are supposed to have build it. The owners of the land never interfere with them when ploughing or planting crops they plough all round them but never touch them. Fairy people are supposed to have lived in them.
The fairy forts are in such a position that they are in view of one another. Lights have been seen on these forts in the night. There is a treasure hidden in Rann Dúin fort. It is guarded by a cat or dog with a chain round its neck.
