    "Thank God he did not know my Grandfather originated in this way."
    One day a young man got into difficulties he got the advice of a solicitor and when he went to settle up his accounts he asked how much was the fee. The solicitor said "as I knew your father I will only charge you five pound the man said "thank God you did not know my grandfather."

    This would pierce the flesh and the name written on the sword would be in the serpent. This monster was seen often. He was first seen by Mr MacWilliams. He was a French man who was spending holidays in Slane. Treasures were guarded by this serpent. After his death a golden lamp and several other valuable things were seen in the Boyne. There is no account of water bulls in the district.
